Your image is mesmerizing. I keep going back and looking. It reminds me of a patchwork quilt. I agree with Steven about the sky. If you cropped it down to the top of the bushes? The part of the tree on the left looks like a skeleton hand, which goes perfectly with the skeleton of the vineyard! |

It seems to me that the lines of the buildings lead my eyes to the birds. I do like the lightened versions, but Chun's version is very interesting. I did have to look to see that they were birds. |

WOW!! What a great image! The bird is tack sharp-the eye is in perfect focus, along with the feathers on the wings and the water kicking up behind. I agree that flipping the image was a good idea. Chun thought the grass behind was distracting, and in the color image, I agree, but in the BW, it looked more like waves on the water to me. Fabulous! |

An interesting image. You did such a good job removing the brown stem in the background and using generative fill to fill in over that. What is spotlight and where did you find it? You really did a good job bringing out the pods. You almost don't see them in the original. |

Welcome, Chun! Your image is beautiful, and I agree that the BW conversion works well. I also think that the blur should not extend to the water and below, and I think it would be more effective there were less of it. The blue in the sky, to me, does make me think there is wind movement. All in all, even from the back, you can feel the awe the person is feeling, gazing at that beautiful scene. |

Thank you for all your comments. I also saw the footprint. I haven't done a lot of BW, so I may have made it too dark, as I did add black to the converted image. |
