Jennifer, you knocked it out of the park-AGAIN!! The very interesting thing to me about this image-besides the eclipse itself-- is the foreground!! It almost looks as if you were ON the moon taking this picture. The clouds covering the sun have some color to them, which is interesting. Did you do anything to the clouds to make them have that coloring? I am very interested in the settings and lens you used, as there will be an eclipse in April, and my town will be in the line of totality. What is photo Ephemeris? |

Dale, I love the colors of the leaves, and I think you emphasized the focal tree well. Had the water been calmer, you would have had a beautiful mirror image. Not putting the water's edge right in the center makes for a more pleasing image, and you have more of the reflection than the actual trees, which is also nice, especially the sky in the lower left. Very peaceful image. |

I think it is a lovely image. I do have two questions: why did you reverse the image, and why did you remove the house? |

Chan, I had so hoped to take some pictures like this, but, alas, our trip was re-routed because of the war. I think the BW version is more striking-the shadows are more stark, and the chairs and the hands pop more. To me, though, the texture in the original wall seems to be more pronounced. Oh, I wanted to see this!! Maybe someday, but until then, I can feel the reverence in this place through your image. You accomplished your mission by putting me "in" this holy place. Thank you. |

WOW! What a shot! The leaf itself is tack sharp with all the background nicely blurred. I think I like the Poised title, as it looks like the leaf stopped just for you! |
