Thank you, Steven. I had not paid that much attention to anything but the bird. I was trying so hard to get a good sharp shot of the bird, and that was my main focus. I am learning so many critical points from all of you. I do like your version much better! |

Thank you, Will. I'm never sure about what to take out and what gives more perspective. I do see what you mean. Everything else in the background is very blurred, and the leaf is more pronounced. I appreciate it. |

I agree that Mother Nature was really the star of the show. Are the red, blue, and yellow timbers in a sort of tepee configuration? Is that another timber on the ground, covered in the blue lights? Did you wait until total darkness to take any more pictures? We have a botanical garden here that has a magnificent light display each December. I usually take my GRANDgifts, so I don't go out with the tripod, but I may try that next year. |

Will, the colors and the detail in the leaves are beautiful. Great idea for using the Lightbox. I want to really try to use the new features in LR. I do like some of the new masking and healing tools. I like the way the leaves overlap each other, with some of them showing through, and some others being in shadow. Beautiful shot. |

Dale, This is a very interesting composition. I do like seeing the different shadows on the eggs, and the shapes of the eggs add to the changing shadow effects. I don't know how you lit the image, but each eggs has a while ring around the edge where it meets the egg holder. The vignetting really increases the contrast.

Interesting thoughts about seeing the "god-like" structure and the disciples approaching. I do think the BW image is more spectacular, and I think the movement in the sky is striking. Good job. |
