As do I, Jennifer. Everyone is so kind, but with wonderful CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. I have learned so much. |

My DIL actually took a couple of these pictures-one of Owen and one of his sister, Avery-and had them turned to BW, blew them up to 6 feet, and hung them on the stairway wall of their lake house. I was very honored. |

Jennifer, you nailed it again! This looks like a watercolor! The grays in the sky and the mountains give good contrast to the bright blues and reds, and you got good separation of the sky and the mountains. Great image, and I want to go there, too!! |

I had looked at all the images a few days ago, but I didn't have time to adequately comment on them, but I had the same impression as Steven did-that of a kaleidoscope. I am interested in the way that you did all of this. I'll be interested in your answers to Steven's questions. |

I agree with Steven as far as your timing of the shot. It almost appears that the bridge is straight up! I, too, want to go to Mackinaw. Your pictures are very inspiring. They make me want to visit, which is one of the reasons we take and share! The blues and greens together are very soothing. Everything is sharp, and the detail is interesting. |

Steven, the owl is magnificent. I think the BW version is really easier to see, and I like the contrast of the tree bark and the various stripes and spots on the owl. I think you did a good job of separating the owl from the tree. |

Chan, I like the BW image better than the color. I think it is much more interesting than the color. I like the way the light comes through creating the shadows across the cup and counter, and the reflection in the coffee pot. So much interesting to look at. Good job. |

I'm with Steven-I can't begin to suggest any way to make this a more beautiful image-technically or through composition. I did go back to read about bracketing, but I'm still unsure how to set it up in the camera so that you do not lose time between shots. Again, a beautiful image of a beautiful mother and daughter and granddaughter! |

Steven, Thank you for your comments. I had lightened the shadows on Owen's face, but not as much as you did. I do like your version much better! Thank you. |
