Thank you, Chan. I'm not skilled enough to do but one thing at a time! LOL!! I'm learning, and I have all of you to thank! I was aiming more for sharpness. As I told Dale, I'm sure that I have many images in that group that show motion--and a LOT of it!
Thank you all for your very constructive comments. |

Thank you, Dale. I had not even thought about that, and I may have some images that have that (unintentionally!! LOL!!). |

Lance, thank you. However, I do not understand what you mean by pin point dodging-or dodging, for that matter. I think it is something in Photoshop, but I don't use that, although I have tried (rather unsuccessfully!). What do you mean by dodging? I hope you are enjoying your vacation-and I'm sure your camera is getting a real workout! |

Thank you, Jennifer. Sadly, Owen has gotten hurt and will not play tomorrow. I have another chance next week, unless he still can't play. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. |

I see that "thing" as well. I assumed it was a light reflection of some sort. I think the tighter crop loses something, as you can't see the flare of the costume, which adds to the movement. |

Thank you so much, Steven. Tuesday, I'm going to shoot my grandson's football team during scrimmages, so I have been practicing. Hopefully, it will be a nice day! Depending on the quality, that may be what I post next month!! |

Thank you, Dale. I knew about the water, but not the rest of that information. Again, I learn so much from all of you! |

WOW!! So sharp and vivid! Her eyes are very sharp. It appears that she is going to burst into laughter at any second!! |

I agree about being nervous--I'm looking at the fingers of his right hand being below and close to the blade of that knife!! The image is sharp and the colors are vivid. I would like to have seen a little more of the press (just because I would like to know what it looks like--I don't know that it would have added anything to the composition!!). I like seeing the cup with some juice in it as well--maybe a little more of that. Very nice. |

I am interested in why you used the CPL filter--is that the circular polarizing? or is it something else? I don't use filters, although I did use one when in Alaska, to shoot through water. Is that the same thought--shooting through fog/haze--as through water? I learn so much for all of you!!
You image is absolutely beautiful--the faint touch of blue/green on the far right side helps separate the foreground and background, too.

Our local camera club had a speaker (which I missed) speaking on everything you can do with your phone's camera. I am interested to read the notes from the meeting. You image is beautiful. The colors are so rich, and the building and the boats give a nice perspective. |

What a nice gift. I love the vignetting, which softens the image. Nice composition with the blurred plant in the front. She looks like a very sweet person! |

I love the image--and the sign makes the image complete and absolutely perfect. I have not done any street photography. We live in the city where my husband grew up--a resort town--and there used to be photographers who would take pictures of the people passing by--give them a ticket, and then they could go back and purchase the pictures--street photography! |
