Thank you, Jennifer. As you well know, with the eagles and the planes...same problem! |

Will, what a great catch! There is a Great Blue Heron who lives and fishes in our bay, but I have never seen a nest. I agree about the branch in front of the chick being too time intensive to edit out. Monochrome would be an interesting thing to try. I haven't done a lot of that. It is a great image. |

Steven, The way you cropped the image, along with making it BW, makes it a perfect Rorschach image! I love seeing the textures and lines in the wood. Very nice. |

Chan, I love this image-as you said-photographing those who have no idea they are having their pictures taken. However, your image also makes me sad, because I was supposed to have gone in April. I am hoping to go at some point. That being said, the image, with the busyness of the items for sale, also leads your eye to the shopkeeper. Something that I have been told about Jerusalem is that there are shops everywhere, so I feel like I got to go! |

Lance, Isla is a beauty, and you have captured her perfectly. I love the softness of the image, but as you said, her eyelashes are absolutely sharp. The softness of her hair almost looks like feathers. |

Thank you, Steven. It's funny you said that about avoiding the plans overlapping-I picked this one because of that-I wanted to show how close they were flying. I paid particular attention to the ISO, shutter speed, and f-stop from the constructive criticisms I have read here. I am going to try to go to another air show, and I will practice with that lens. I did have it set on high speed continuous to catch as many images as possible. As you said, practice makes perfect!! Or something! LOL!! |

Thank you, Chan. It was an interesting and learning experience-mainly that I needed to make sure I knew more about my lens before I went out there!! |
