I love the subtle colour palette and composition of your image Brian. The storm over a cornfield works for me but I don't need to see anything in particular, just the shapes and colours and the movement of the scratches which is very pleasing to the eye. |

I love the fantasy woodland but my first reaction was that maybe I would have had Mr Toad driving his car along the road. Toad or frog? Not sure of the difference but The turquoise colour doesn't quite fit in. |

I have nothing much to add to Brian's comprehensive critique. I too love the expression of the middle kangaroo. It could be saying " Can I have a turn in that nice hollow?" But I think your "Are you O K?" is better. |

Brad, I sympathise with you, always missing the best of the Northern lights. I think your image would have worked better for me if you could somehow have eliminated the sea from the scene. I get the scary feeling of the girl looking at the light but the sea coming from between the trees is too wierd for me to take in. Did you mean it to have an apocalyptic feel? |

Very impressive Tom. I admire what you have done which is certainly a success. It definitely ticks the futuristic box. The lovely curving lines of the building are the perfect subject. Brian's version gives the impression of a view from a space ship: even more futuristic. |

I value your comments Brian and agree with them up to a point. The image is very busy. I suppose I was trying to create the experience of seeing so many beautiful earrings laid out before me. Where do I look? which do I like? which shall I buy?
It is really more of an impression of colour and shape than anything. My eye definitely goes to the two on the right at the front which are in focus. While your cropped image is clear and simple, it doesn't replicate the feeling I got when looking into the jewellers window. |
