That is exactly as I saw it. You have worded it so well. |

I love your image Brian and am envious of your creative flair and vision. The original image of the woman is indeed quite serene but for me the addition of the crowd scene adds a sense of turmoil and confusion which I am sure could have been in her mind as a widow woman. Was this your intention? Perhaps she is trying to emerge from the turmoil and regain her serenity. It is altogether very intriguing and a beautiful image. |

Thanks for your comments Joan. I try to go to this bluebell wood every year but this year the bluebells were not completely out when I went. The weather was so appalling after that so I didn't return. Will try again next year. It's always a lovely place to be with lots of birds singing.

The sunflowers are certainly a happy sight, shouting optimism, a good contrast to the dark shack. I wonder if the sunflowers at the front of the shack should be yellow too, surrounding it and making it a more integral part of the image. What do you think? |

I love the subtle tones in your image Janice. Also the way you have left definite areas of colour and detail giving it a good variation of light and shade. The darker area towards the back left adds a feeling of mystery which I like. |

Joan, I think your image gives the impression of a downpouring of rain on the early spring blossom sending some of the blossom to the ground. In other words a feeling of something being spoilt. I like the composition with the line of trees leading the eye towards infinity but I do find the patch of blue there a little distracting. I am interested in your use of the brush with a spotted effect and will give it a try. It certainly had the effect you wanted to create here. |
