The 'mist' is residual light from original, which wasn't removed with adjusting. I would have had to spend more time removing that manually, but thanks for noticing so I'll make to remove if I decide to print this or submit elsewhere.
For the crop question, you're right about background, I added a white stroke to help separate from background (see below). I'm thinking a square crop is better. |

Thanks for the feedback. Yes, quite impossible to see edge of photo once uploaded to PSA site. I added a white stroke as you suggested (see below) |

Adrienn:
I too like the feeling of dried landscape you captured. I'm envious of your aerial work, a new dimension to play with.
It took me a few minutes to figure out the puzzle -- that the red dot is the rider and the drone is 90 deg overhead. I agree the red dot is a bit distracting, but without the red dot, the puzzle is incomplete. |

Marina, this photo has a nice 'pop' not only because of the colors but also the way the diagonal hills intersect the strong horizontal elements. Nice use of rule of thirds too.
As mentioned, the maroon rock face in the background is pronounced and a curious color, but I think that's why they're called the Maroon Bells, correct? I like the way those hills and the little purplish shrub/tree in the left foreground act as subtle bookends to the bright colors.
A small thought: in my opinion the boosted orange and some yellow look slightly oversaturated, and it looks like there's some red artifacts on the tops of a few of the orange colored trees on the right side as a result. Nonetheless, very compelling. |
