75 Dec 21 Comment Incredible colors achieved without post processing. Did you zoom in quite a bit for this shot? Was there something in the wider scene that you needed to crop out? It makes me want to see a wider view, looking for a subject, but I think those colors are the wild enough to be the subject. You are fortunate to wake up to that every morning. Dec 12th
75 Dec 21 Comment This is a great photo, which does justice to the exceptional subject. I think many photogs, probably myself included, would have wanted to push the color saturation, especially the red, but I think your restraint there is more realistic. My only suggestion would be to straighten the near-field horizon (at the treeline). Your camera/tripod was probably perfectly level, but optically it looks tilted (to mine eyes). I've never been to Yosemite, but this pic makes me want to go check it out. Dec 12th
