Yes, I agree with the others, and have already removed the blended background. I have kind of reached the limit of darkening the knee, without it appearing a murky grey. The model was wearing white stockings, so they were very bright at the beginning. |

I agree with others about cropping the base to emphasize the statue and wheel. Interesting perspective. |

I agree with Jose about the amount of black, as I did not see that initially. I think if you choose to leave a small amount, you might consider leaving a small white stroke to separate it from any potential other black background displays. |

This is a nice tight shot that does not eliminate any of the nature story. I agree about the appearance of noise, which should be easily fixed with any current denoise software. And with Terry's suggestion about the eyes for a pictorial version.) |

I like both treatments except for the lack of cropping in the color, but do prefer the B&W. The B&W also eliminates the big difference in the colors on the top sides, which I guess could be fixed with some cloning in the color.
When I look at the finished version, the roof line appears tilted, but not in the original. Perhaps making the walls more parallel caused this. This can be fixed in Camera Raw or LR, but i find it easier in PS to use the Distort command so I don't lose any of the sides.
You mentioned Generative Fill. Don't forget, PSA forbids its use in anything posted to PSA, except for illustrative purposes. |

Jose, this is incredible. You took a good record travel picture, and transformed it into a marvelous abstract that has a lot to look at, but keeps you focused in the center, with the borders you created. Your choices for monochrome were spot on. |

Interesting that we both chose dancers this month. I like the flow of her pose. Since the only highlights in the image are her face, I wonder if that was your entire focus? If not, perhaps you could lighten some areas of her dress that might show some emphasis on the flow of the material there. I tried that, and maybe a variation of what I did would work. |
