I like Mervyn's edit too. I agree that keeping the pole as a framing device also serves to give us visual clues. |

Thanks for the edit. Based on what the group stated, I have content aware extended that side, and touched it up with further cloning. (I also adjusted the contrast of the sky.) Your approach is very interesting. However, anyone who has photographed sunflowers knows, they all face the same way towards the sun ;-)
BTW, a former work mate who grew up on a farm always said "better red than dead" to state his preference. |

That hat certainly is interesting. I agree with Jose about the vignette possibly being too strong, or perhaps more gradual. Brightening the eyes could help also. |

Your ability to find patterns and abstracts always amazes me. Very interesting. |

As Jose said, I do like the muted colors. And now that he has pointed out the face, I cannot get it out of my head. |

The light really draws me in to what is important. Even though it was a potentially overwhelming busy scene, the light keeps us focused. The pole gives us clues to the tent and her environment, but it does act as a divider in framing. Perhaps a little more in front would have minimized the effect. Very nice. |

I personally prefer the color version, as I think the warmth of the light is very important here. I like the light direction, and what you have done to open the shadows. I think I would like to see just a little more separation on the right side. |
