Very creative. Is this just 2 layers, or did you do anything else to it?
I suggest you try darkening the eyelid on the right side slightly (top and bottom). |

I like your viewpoint. By increasing the exposure in the ice, you probably made the sparkle show off more, helping draw us to the ice. The added benefit you seemed to have gotten with the longer exposure is the water has a more silky look. Even your immediate background compliments this (the more distant ice). Having that sky is just a bonus. Good job.
Have you considered adding a very small amount of the sky color to the sparkling translucent parts of the ice? Not sure if it would help, but might be worth playing with. I like your cropping of the sky, but like more of the drama of the original sky. I made slight changes, but I am not sure how well they will show up in the smaller version |

Have you tried substituting a different color background (either post or before, if the flowers are still blooming)? I think a dark green background would be more pleasing as it is complimentary to the magentish blooms. This perspective creates a lot of tension, if that was your desire. Otherwise, picking a viewpoint that shows the end tip of the blooms gives an "end" that has less tension. |

Since I do not see a clue that it is blurred boat versus something else, I am okay with it, but would prefer that it was removed as minor distraction. The reflected lights on the left bother me a little in the sense that I would like to see the line longer and more pronounced. I tried doing a rough selection around them, and using transform to extend them as in my example. I think it helps to frame and tie it in a little better. |

As a general pictorial, I would remove the blue reflections, but if you wish to enter this into Nature division, you have no choice but to leave it in. (In situations like this, since I keep everything on layers, I would just turn off the adjusted layer for nature submission.)
Nice detail. |
