I agree with Belinda; the bird seems over sharpened. Great exposure and contrast. |

I like the low level perspective, as the carpet really adds to the feeling of depth. The pano cropping is a good idea, and I like how this comes together. Because of the wide angle lens, even thought the bottom is straight the top is a little off. Like Steven says, I rotated it a little bit. I used the Ruler in PS, and then IMAGE>Image Rotation, and then Arbitrary to fix it. (PS said 0.79 degrees.) I noticed the left side was a little brighter, so I used an adjustment layer to match the brightness, and then the graduated filter with a very gradual range from black to white to add to the mask. |

Now that I straitened out the order, I can make a comment that makes sense!
I like the processing techniques you used here. Plus, it is an interesting composition. For me, the light does not bother me too much, as you have a repeating one in the image. Besides, they may take quite a bit of work to successfully remove them. I think the top wire should go, as it is an easy fix, and does not leave the feeling at all that the light is not connected.I might also look to see if you can clone or content aware out the edge of something else (building or over hang?) on the top left that cuts across the building. I think the overlay added some interest, but you might consider reducing the opacity in the foreground on the pavement, as the circular patterns seem a little pronounced. |

Nicely composed. You did a good job of using focus stacking. There may be a little bit of soft grasses in-between, but that is only noticeable after studying the image, and these are not visually what we are looking at anyway. I also like what you did to the sky for more impact.
One very minor thing you can do that ultimately is just to give it a little tweak may be to clone out the small flower buds that are touching the bottom right and left edges. No big deal, but sometimes what I call "border patrol" can help. |

Hi Michael, as far as your question about the halos, it may be that you over compensated in sharpening? The color image does seem a little soft to start, and trying to compensate may lead to strong halos. Also, if you had applied some significant contrast with a contrast or clarity setting, this would emphasize the tonal variation in the wall behind the head. I do see a stronger halo in the woman (red) on the right by the pillar in the B&W version. For some reason, I see a lot more jpeg artifacts than I would expect to see in an image this size. |
