8 Dec 19 Reply Well seen. From my first view, I had to look for the droplet, which is why it fits in so well. Mostly love the detail between the white and green. Not sure if it would benefit from slightly more contrast. Nice job. Dec 16th

26 Dec 19 Reply When I work on images like this, they are always on layers. So if I wish to enter this in a photo travel exhibition, I can turn off the layer that will have the rope removed and the extra cloud. Also, images like this remind us that what we thought we saw is not what comes out of the camera, due to tech limits of the sensor and settings. I remember just the opposite once when I was just starting to use digital, and the Chicago night skyline I took seemed kind of dark and drab until I looked at the jpeg preview on the back of my camera, and saw all this marvelous color! 26 Dec 19 Reply From Mervyn's comment, I reduced the red saturation in the hills. I keep debating the rope as a context item, but I think I will remove it now. Over sharpening probably is from the action I use to make the correct size; it probably is too much for this image. Dec 14th
26 Dec 19 Comment I just noticed that your image was not saved with a color profile (sRGB recommended for web display). When I bring into PS, the colors are way over saturated, but do not appear that way on the web. If I assign the sRGB before bringing into PS, it looks like the web image, with just a little more red saturation. Do the colors on the site look like you expect them to?
I agree with Mervyn's assessment. If the rock range would have had more variation, such as height, then it might have worked better. I am looking for detail variations, or patterns, and this smaller view does not give me that.

26 Dec 19 Comment The purposeful tilt of the lens is what makes this image work. A minor point- not sure if toning down the highlights of the dome would help or not. Dec 12th
26 Dec 19 Comment I like the framing here and the viewpoint. I agree that the bright orange building does get a lot of my attention, and maybe toning the brightness or color might improve it. Dec 12th
26 Dec 19 Comment I really like how the boat stands out. I just would have expected that the sunlight would have splashed the area immediately around the boat too. Dec 12th
26 Dec 19 Comment The buffalo fits nicely into the scenery. However the yellow/green of the background seems to saturated or something, and is a little distracting. I suggest toning it down just a little (and perhaps blurring it slightly), as I did in this example. Dec 12th
26 Dec 19 Reply The colors so seem a little strong and I will probably tone them down. The truth is my eye saw colors, but the scene as one shot was just too dark to show the warmth. Because of the low contrast, I do agree that the colors looked too "baked". Dec 10th
