Well done. The tighter crop works for me. I don't see much that you could do technically to this image. |

Saturating helps a lot. The other solution I had thought about is to add an empty Photoshop layer, and set the paint brush to color blending mode. Then you can pick various colors and paint individual or groups of leaves with saturated colors to focus at a particular area, like the ones hanging on the post and on the ground near the juncture of the posts.) Or you could also paint on the saturation adjustment layer, and take out saturation in some areas, to give a blend of the "newly" fallen versus older leaves. (You could do that in LR with the brush.)
It may be just the results of the jpeg conversion, but it seems like it might be over sharpened. |

However, I would be quite happy to trade places with you for a few weeks in January or February! |

Well done. You took what appeared to be a fairly average image and turned it into something far more interesting. The paint strokes added some much needed texture. I don't believe cropping would improve the image, as I think the negative space you have is very good. The only suggestion I have is to try a slight soft round vignetting to draw the eye in some more. |

You did an outstanding job of creating a symmetrical pano here. And judging from your wide angle lens, a great job in straightening the perspective out. Your technical work paid off. Too bad they don't know how to pattern their lights more evenly for us photographers! |

I do not see the colors as over saturated. The leaves seem a strange olive color, but then I don't know the plant or the time of year, which might be responsible for the color. I think the water drops are cool. I might suggest darkening the upper left leaf structure some more, realizing you cannot darken too much, or it will no longer look natural. |

Wow, last time I was there many years ago, you were rushed through so fast, even when on the "photographer's tour", but at least we could use tripods. Thank goodness we can use faster ISO settings now.
You did a nice job of capturing the colors and textures, and I like the placement of the orange hole. My only minor suggestion would be to clone out the upper right spot, where the rock ridge is, as it is a brighter area in a far corner. (If you were doing this as a try nature image, darkening that spot would work too.) |
