Trip of a lifetime Sophie, and I'm happy that you went to the Masai Mara. This is a wonderful image. The softness of the background is very nice as our eye leads us directly to the two lions and the viewer is not distracted by the background if it had been sharp. Well done with the sharpness on the Lions. Good use of the depth of field @ 2.8...looking forward to seeing other images from your trip to Africa. |

Blurring the background, removing all the leaves except foreground leaf, removing distractions were a good move because the background is just as important as the foreground and you get an A+. Lastly, brightening up the Banded Demoiselle and enhancing the color of the insect brings the viewer's eye directly to the insect without distraction of other elements. Well done, Gordon. |

Nice high-keyed image Sanford. Cropping really enhanced this image. The horses at a full gallop with their mane flying and water splashing makes this image really come alive as if one was almost there with you. |

Great timing on your granddaughter's position with her arms outstretched and her toes pointed. The family should be happy with this image. With the black background, you could add all sorts of things...perhaps dancers from the Kirov Ballet Company or the Bolshoi Company from Russia... |
