76 Sep 22 Reply I really appreciate the comments that you make on other people's images and also the explanation of how you rendered your final image. Your comments are very helpful. Thanks. Sep 22nd
76 Sep 22 Comment If only people would walk in the woods quietly observing all the small things that make up the scene before them, they would just be amazed at all the details of the woodland that open up before them. I see that you took the image at F16 using focus stacking. Another way would be to take the image at F2.8 and using focus stacking, you could stop focus stacking the image at the back edge of the mushroom and have the background even more out of focus though I love your image as is. The placement of the mushroom is fine and the lighting spot on. Wonderful image. Sep 22nd
76 Sep 22 Comment I always look forward to your "theatrical" images. For me, it i like looking through your eyes at the characters in the theater. The image I like is the one you presented with Volpone looking at the coin from his coffin. With part of the coffin showing the environment of Volpone, the viewer is visually close enough to see the greed and lust for money in his eyes and I feel the two components are important elements of his desires. Well photographed and processed. Sep 5th

76 Sep 22 Comment The position of the foreground rock with the two cliffs makes for a nice visual triangle. The addition of blending in the wave on the left is a welcomed addition to your image. The foreground gives me a sense of moving visually into the image with the angled "bubble lines/foam"(bottom right side) ending at the edge of the waves. The three foreground waves going from right to left visually pleasing. The sunset is muted and soft and makes for a nice background element to the cliffs and water. There are a lot of great elements in your image. Great processing on the image. Sep 5th
76 Sep 22 Comment The closest I've ever come to photographing a sports event was at a rodeo. Things I remembered doing was that I moved around to try and get better position on the cowboys and bull riders in the outdoor arena. Also I had my camera set on hi-speed synch with the hope that one of the images would capture "the moment". My brain doesn't react as fast as the participants in the sport and with hi-speed synch, at least, that gives you a chance to capture the image you envisioned. What about putting the iso on A (auto) so the iso change automatically to the iso need for that image. Shutter priority might be another option to capture the runner in sharp focus though I do like the runner in out of focus in the image as the image is not so static but it all depends on what type of image you want to capture. Sports photography is another skill in itself and it just takes practice to take the kind of image you envision. I think you did great capturing this image and reducing the noise. All my comments are just suggestions as I am not a sports photographer. For all it's worth I went from a landscape photographer to a bird photographer. Landscape doesn't move but birds do so the transition wasn't easy. A lot of images went into the trash but after awhile, I learned to have the right settings if birds were flying, to underexpose a bit if the bird was black and overexpose if the bird was entirely white and what lens to use. Of course there are still images that make it to the "trash" but far fewer than before. So, congratulation on your nice image and, whatever genre of photography you want to try next, I know you will be successful. Sep 5th
76 Sep 22 Comment I like the smoothness of the water against the sharper edges of the rocks. The soft early morning light really enhance the image. Another thing that caught my eye is the way the soft effect of the water wraps itself around and over the rocks and leads the eye into the image. Great processing from the original image to the processed image. Sep 5th
