I like your conversion to B/W because this helps the viewer to connect directly with the shapes, texture, scale of the elements in the image as well as the person. The viewer is not then distracted by the beautiful turquoise color. Hope you don't mind but I liked your image enough to bring it into PS RAW and then into Silver Efex to render a different interpretation of your image...a cooler tone. For the image I uploaded I chose Street-Hint of Blue in Silver Efex though I did play around with Classic Portrait-Cool Tone...nice also...a very nice b/w image Sanford. |

I really like the lines and shapes that are in your image. The repeating lines from the rays of light to the pole that the aerialist is hanging onto and the lines in his tights adds to the cohesiveness of these elements. In addition, the spots of small lights in relationship to the larger round lights add another element of cohesiveness. The shadowing on the man's body is quite nice and I feel that you handled the bright area on his upper body and face quite nicely. Your conversion to b/w helps the viewer's eye concentrate on all the elements that make this a successful image. |

I like very much the contrast in the image and the soft subtle lighting on the flowers with shadowing on the flowers in the image. Beautiful image Heidi. This is an image that I would be proud to hang on my wall. |

I do like the symmetry in the image as one side of the image reflects almost identically what is on the other side of the image. The symmetry in the image is very pleasing to the eye and keeps me focused in the image. I like the b/w conversion as it keeps my eye focused on the shapes, lines and light/shadows in the image....well done. |

The abstract shapes in the image are compelling and the lighting and shadows add to the dimensionality of the image. This image is a visual feast of lines, angles, textures and shapes. I keep looking at this image and find that my eye stays inside this image to explore all that it has to offer....well done, Trey...nice conversion to b/w. |

This image shows us more the flow and softness of the flames with mostly red edging against black and some red in between the yellow flames. The dark background adds a nice contrast to the bright colors. I like the fact that you tried different shutter speeds to get different effects with the bonfire series. |
