Hi Trey,
Thank you so much for taking the time to analyze my image and offer suggestions on how to better enhance the image. One of the reasons why I joined PSA was to get feedback on my images so that I could improve my post processing skills wether in b/w or color. Looking forward to implementing your suggestion on the b/w image of Lower Antelope Canyon. |

Sophie, I want to compliment you on your flowing and descriptive writing style...love it. You certainly have a wonderful way with words. You were right to point out my descriptive title of the image. I shall work on giving titles that aren't so specific but perhaps address the feeling of the image instead. This past year I have been working on getting better at post processing as I realize that post processing skills are extremely important...probably just as important as capturing a good image. So, the b/w image is one of my images that I have applied my newly acquired post processing skills to date. Your comments have given me a better understanding and visualization of what you saw in my image. Thank you so very much. |

Wow, this picture is stunning in its tone and color accompanied with the beautiful shadow, lighting and detail. The arrangement of the elements in this image and their relationship to each other is well thought out. As a suggestion, perhaps you could take a brush and subtly apply just a "kiss" of lighting on a few of the asparagus tips where it is darkest in the upper right hand corner though the image is fine as is. |

The colors of the vast landscape in Arizona, including the dry yellow grasses are representative of the southwest along with the big, billowy skies. To homestead in these types of harsh environments is always a challenge. The panoramic treatment of this image is perfect. This image conjures up so many questions as to the people who live and survive in this type of environment. The colors in the red earth are rich, the bright yellow grasses so golden and the the skies a gentle blue make for a truly harmonious palette. In my eye, the road leading into the image stops momentarily by the figure, then the trees and the fence and continues beyond. The more I look at this image the more I see...a fine image, indeed. |

Lucky you...a double rainbow in a beautiful setting. Your processing in the light and shadow areas are well done as well as the enhancement of the color of the rainbow and water. I think the capture of the breaking wave on the far right adds interest to the image. Nice capture. |

The contrast in colors is very pleasing. The red pine cones on the tree almost look like berries. I like the soft out of focus background so the viewer just concentrates on the upper tree branch with the pine cones. I'm not sure if the lower branch is necessary but repetition is nice in many cases. The exposure is nice and the f-stop is good because there is enough sharpness on the cones in the upper branch w/o the background being distracting. |

I like the different types, sizes, tones and direction of the textured bark in this image. Good detail in this image and the direction of the small gray twigs at the bottom is an added plus to this image....well exposed. |
