very nice shot for the equipment you have. I like my birds to have some wing motion. All that should be in focus is. Got the catch light in the eye. Myself I have little experience using strobes in bird photography. Have a couple of old Paul Buff white lightning strobes bought used couple of years back just to start learning how to use strobes. |

Interesting what you did to the original. I did something similar in P.Shop but took it much further. Used a twirl function. Got the directions off of Utube. Not sure if you carry around 8.5x11 backgrounds for your outdoor shots but if the original was blurred out it would make for a nice background when shooting outdoor or even indoor flowers etc. |

Great shot! Don't have any Milky Way shots. Kind of wondering what it would have looked like with you standing on the porch ,if you still happen to look like your photo, sitting on a chair. You know with the long flowing hair and beard. |

Interesting shot. Makes it look like something menacing is rising out of the ocean. Would have a totally different look if water was smooth. I would have lightened the big rock just a bit. Just learned how to do that in P.Shop and to mask in L.Room. |

Thanks for the comments. Composition was mine. Had help from the person who ran the workshop. I think this one was version #8 which I eventually kept for the final photo. Might have done a couple more versions but ran out of time. |
