It's a busy photo yet it does tell an interesting story. Had this photo been it color I would then agree my eyes would be drawn to the flags. Having the photo in monochrome keeps my eye busy looking around the photo instead of the flags. nice leading lines. Nice photo as is. Could even crop in halfway from the right or left and make a couple more interesting photos. |

Great job of eliminating the background stuff you mentioned.Nice match of flowers to vase. I have used foam board on occasion. you don't dare get a dent in the stuff or it shows unless it is completely blacked out in the photo. So I would be interested in knowing what makes a good backdrop material in this type of close up photo? |

Great shot of the Bird. Even the water adds to the overall picture. The two slightly higher waves seem to encircle that fine bird. |

Sorry for the delay in replying. Life has been too nuts with very sick neighbors we have known for many years, sick grandkids, father in laws declining health and golfing etc. By the end of the day I am too tired to even look at my emails.
First of all I did take more than one image. I did do some cropping on the left side. Use Lightroom Classic CC. I tried to keep photo as it looked when it was shot. It was very foggy that morning. Played with the Dehaze control. Added some additional haze. Liked the effect. It did separate the pole more from the background. Thanks for the suggestion. |
