Hi Melanie. I don't know what happened to my comment. I was the first one to comment on the picture and the issue with the high ISO. I never use auto ISO. Most often I shoot in aperture priority mode, except for shooting in low light or with a flash. In aperture priority mode, I adjust exposure compensation and ISO, as needed. In your picture here, there was plenty of light and a steady scene, so there was no need for ISO 800 and a 1/800 shutter speed. With that said, your picture appears clean and high quality, so it worked fine. I like the leading path and the one small tree that creates a nice center of interest. Beautiful picture.

Hi Emil. I like the way you saw and capture the beauty of the simple scene. The three tree trunks follow the pattern of the fern leaves that open up to the sky. Good post work too. |

Hi Henry. The clouds really helped you here. I enjoy driving and photographig these open landscapes with big skies and nice clouds. Your vantage point from the center of the road works well. The one peak makes a good anchor point to hold the viewer's eyes. Nicely done. |

Hi Gary. I like your creative interpretation of the scene and the final image. Nice work with the clouds between the two towers. The symmetry works here. The effect doesn't work for many pictures, but it really does in this case. Well done. |

Hi Charles. You handled tough lighting well. Placing the bridge a little to the right created a nice dynamic composition with the water edge leading from the left. Looking at Gary's version, my vote would be for something in between yours and his. |

Hi Jack. I like the composition with the bricks on the right framing the tree. The roots with the greater contrast make the main tree stand out. You could try to move the black point and white point sliders a little to increase the contrast, without losing the softness and mood. Still, beautiful as presented. |

Hi Steve. Your capture and processing are handled well. The tones are fine. I don't have any suggestions for the technical handling or composition, from your vantage point. I wish you stood a few feet to the left and got more of the horse and from a better angle that shows some of the front of the horse. |
