Your final image is beautiful and done well. I also like Gary's version with a tighter crop and a bit more contrast. This winter scene still works well with IR. Nicely done.

I like the scene and the simple composition. The four layers appear as two sets of similar patterns (1. grasses and water and 2. trees and sky). A bit more contrast would have helped, but I'm not the high contrast/dramatic look guy here. |

Yes, your effort was successful and resulted in a beautiful, creatively-handled picture. The original was captured nicely and your post work was great. Well done.

You really took a pretty mundane acene and turned it into an interesting picture. I know that the strong texture enhances the old photo look, but maybe it's too strong here. I do like the toning and overall post work. |

I often keep some color in my IR pictures and feel that it works well in your picture here. I would have kept the water pool in the forground. It make the picture dynamic with the edges of the pool bringing you into the scene. It also gives some space below the falls. Yes, a long exposure would be nice. When I don't have a tripod, I take two exposures. One with a fast shutter speed to get everything sharp and one with a quarter second exposure to get the motion effect on the water. Then, in post, I copy the water from the soft picture to the sharp one. This way, everything else is sharp. Still, beautiful picture as presented.

I like the contrast between the dark structure, white foliage, and dramatic clouds. This is a great scene for IR. You handled it well. |

The contrast between the black water and bright flowers and leaves works well. The shapes make the picture. Your handling is good. Yes, the white flowers blend with the leaves, but I think it's fine. This is the one issue with IR and bright flowers. They all appear white. |
