66 Jan 24 Reply Thanks, Gary. You're right. Jan 1st
66 Jan 24 Comment Happy New Year Henry. I like the picture very much. As usual, my preference would be to skip the Detail Extractor and leave the sky look natural, but I really like the scene, composition, and colors. Nicely done. Jan 1st
66 Jan 24 Comment Happy New Year Palli. Excellent handling of the picture of the sand sculpture. You captured the details and processed it well. Nicely done. Jan 1st
66 Jan 24 Comment Happy New Year Gary. Simple composition that concentrates on lines and textures, with the trees drawing lines over the layer of clouds. I like your post processing of this image. Nicely done. Jan 1st
66 Jan 24 Comment Happy New Year Emil. Very nice scene with the multiple levels and all the icicles. Shooting it straight on worked well. I like the bright halo in the original. Yes, it may grab the viewer's attention from the falls, but I think it adds depth. I would try to play with curves or levels to increase the midtone contrast. Your highlights and shadows look good, so it's just a bit flat in the midtones. Jan 1st
66 Jan 24 Comment Happy New Year Charles. I like the image, but not sure why you cropped it so much. I like the foreground and wide view that you captured in the original. I also prefer the smoother sky and clouds in the original picture, but I know that most other group members prefer the high contrast and added drama. Jan 1st
66 Jan 24 Comment Happy New Year Jack. I like the way you used the leading lines. The light was beautiful, and you captured its magic. I'm the one in the group who prefers natural-looking clouds. I think you nailed it here. There's enough drama in the picture. I would even take out the small bright cloud. It looks okay in the original, but is very bright in the final image. Great work with the scene. Jan 1st
66 Jan 24 Comment Happy New Year Melanie. Beautiful scene and a very nice composition with the two trees in the foreground framing the one in the distance. Your overall processing is good. I find the vignette (Lighten/Darken) a bit strong. Jan 1st
