Very nicely seen, captured, and processed. To me the building and trees anchor the scene and allow the curves and lines to fill the negative space with interesting patterns. The high-key processing works well too. |

I have o agree with all the earlier comments. You created a very pleasing picture that is handled well. The vantage point, natural framing, long exposure, and overall technical handling are perfect. |

This image shows how subjective art is and how different our views can be. I love your original post and the treatment that you used for it. To me, it looks like a fine-art drawing that concentrates on lines and textures. The reworked image is nice, but not as unique and expressive.
Guy Tal, in his book "Not Another Day Wasted" wrote: "It is not your fault if your art fails to satisfy some people. It is your fault if you compromise your art to satisfy those people."
Of course here we provide feedback that is hopefully considered by the maker. I revised images based on feedback that I got here, but it's also important to stay true to yourself. |

Art is about creating personally-expressive artifacts that make the viewer, or listener, feel and think. Your experiments achieve that. When you look at fine art exhibits (paintings, sculptures, photographs) in museums, you often see that the artists attached physical objects that they didn't create. The final piece of art is original even when some elements are borrowed. I like your idea here, the composition, and texture. I would prefer less-saturated colors.

Nicely seen and captured image. On my recent cross country trip, I took many pictures from the center of the road. The idea was to capture the different landscapes as I moved from one area to another. While these pictures will never win a photo contest, they tell a story about the variety and beauty of our landscapes. I agree with the previous comments about the composition and processing. |

I agree with your assessment of the scene and your composition. Nicely handled picture. Keeping the grape leaves so white, but not washed out works well.

Very nicely done. I like both versions. I find that solid blacks and very dark gray tones show different interpretations and express different emotions. In this case, both work. I was about to post a very similar picture from the rain forest in the Olympic Peninsula. When I went on the site to see my previous posts I saw yours and picked another image. |
