Thanks, Charles. When I shoot landmarks I usually don't remove permanent objects. |

This is a tough one because the gray edge is sometimes on the person and sometimes on the background. Usually, I use the clone tool in either darken (white halo around a subject) or lighten (dark edge around a light subject) mode. However, here you'll need to do small sections, switching techniques. In some areas here, I may simply use the Brush tool in Color mode to color the gray with the color of the adjacent area (e.g., the dress).

Thank you. I wish we could have done it together. It wasn't bad where I was. |

Hi Emil. I just came back from a long road trip, driving almost 11,000 miles. I drove from NJ to WA and back, visiting many towns and parks. I really enjoyed the open fields, barns and silos in the Midwest. I didn't do much IR photography. I really like your post here. The composition with the silos behind the barn works. I see a few birds that look almost like dust spots. I may remove them. I like the more-realistic contrast.

Hi Henry. The houses and boats tell us that it's not Venice. Yes, IR works well in midday light. Your composition and overall handling are good. I have no suggestions for improvements. Nicely done.

Hi Palli. I actually like the composition and the play between the fallen tree in the foreground and the tree in the back. Very good composition and technical handling. This is an interesting picture.

Thanks. Maybe B&W would work better.

Thank you. I created a B&W version too, but wanted to get feedback on this one. I like your rework.

Hi Gary. I really like your creative approach here. You achieved your objective of creating a high-impact story-telling picture. The image is striking. The technical aspects are good too. The only thing that could be cleaned is the gray edge around your granddaughter. |

Hi Charles. I agree with your decisions on composition and processing. The blue water and bridge do bring the viewer to where they intersect. I don't find anything annoying that you could fix. The branches from the top/right corner are not helping, but are not a significant distraction. |

Hi Jack. Nicely seen and composed picture that works so well with the lines in the architecture and the clouds. Maybe a bit more contrast would work here, but you don't want to lose the details in the building. The tilt of the vertical lines on the left is nice. It leads your eyes. |

Hi Melanie. This is a perfect scene for IR and B&W photography. The composition is simple and has a nice diagonal leading to the structure. Good work with the details and textures. I had a client in Lenoir, NC, which is a few miles from Boone. There are many beautiful spots in the area, including the Blue Ridge Parkway. |
