Hi Melanie. Your take on a commonly-photographed scene is beautiful and dramatic. The choice of infrared was perfect for the weather and light. Nicely executed and presented picture. The tonal range works well to create impact and lead you through the scene. The lighter formation in the background pulls you in and prevents you from getting stuck on the large mitten in the foreground. |

Hi Jack. The clouds make the picture. Yes, the hot spot is common. Often, I use it as a built-in lighting effect. Enjoy your travels and photography. Nicely seen and captured. |

Hi Emil. I need to visit more cemeteries be before I'm carried to one. The picture has impact. The clouds helped and so did your post work. All the elements in the frame add up to a story-telling beautiful and interesting image. Nicely done. |

Hi Palli. Perfect timing with the lady in the far section of the path, but not at the very end. You kept the picture dynamic by leaving some path in front of her. The picture tells a story and evokes emotions. The composition and technical aspects are handled well. The little vignette keeps you along the path. Nice work. |

Hi Gary. The dreamy look is perfect for this scene. Shooting it in IR was a good idea too. I appreciate you breaking some rules with this final presentation. In my presentations to camera clubs, I talk about the visual impact of having some totally black and totally white areas, which are often used by painters, but are "unacceptable" when a picture has no highlight or shadow details. You also diminished the edge, making the horse's back merge with the background. Painters also apply Lost Edge, Soft Edge, and Sharp Edge techniques in their work. The lost edge here works. It's fun to rework old images. |

Hi Charles. I like your idea of removing the support and creating an interesting picture with the sculpture levitating. The picture surely gets the attention and has the element of surprise. Post processing and cropping are good. Nicely done. |
