66 Jun 21 Reply Thanks, Jack. I use IR for street photography, because I like the way IR makes skin tones lighter and brings out details in shaded areas. I also shoot with my regular cameras. Jun 9th

66 Jun 21 Reply I haven't been to NYC since January, 2020. I hope to go back soon. Jun 9th
66 Jun 21 Reply Thanks, Charles. For so many years I avoided photographing people, especially strangers. About 20 years ago, a street photographer gave us a presentation and told us to try and ask a few strangers to take their picture and see how flattered and supportive they'll be. It's all about the way you do it. Now, I teach it in my street photography workshops. Jun 6th
66 Jun 21 Reply Very nice, Palli, I like this version. Thanks for sharing. Jun 3rd
66 Jun 21 Comment Hi Emil. Beautiful work with the scene. I wouldn't change anything. Besides the wonderful story-telling picture, I like the composition, tones, and details. Very nicely done. Jun 2nd
66 Jun 21 Comment Hi Palli. Great find and work with the three trees in the foreground. The framing and post processing work well. The blue toning in V2 is nice. I'm not crazy about the radial motion. Sometimes I combine a radial blur with Gaussian blur to diffuse the harsh lines. I do them on a copy in a separate layer and use a mask to control the opacity of the effect in each area of the picture. Good scene for IR. Nicely done.

66 Jun 21 Comment Hi Gary. As soon as I saw your picture, I thought of my experiences in the Smokies. I was lucky with some misty mornings and soft light. Excellent use of the in-camera and post techniques to control the high contrast. Beautiful scene and picture. Jun 2nd
66 Jun 21 Comment Hi Charles. So much to explore in this picture. Your post processing made it an abstract that is full of shapes, textures, and tones. Your title and write-up suggest that you wanted us to see the chaos in this big pile of junk. For that, I agree with Gary's comment. I think that some vignette would help with either version. Jun 2nd
66 Jun 21 Comment Hi Jack. I love bad weather photography. You captured a beautiful scene in a snow storm and processed it well. I prefer the original composition with the whole tree. The extra negative space adds to much to the mood. Beautiful work. Jun 2nd
66 Jun 21 Comment Hi Melanie. Incredible work with the clean-up. The old look works well here. I don't think that I ever picked this type of preset, but it's perfect for this picture. I may try it on some old train pictures. The overall high-key look is good too. I may remove the faint details on the sign under the light in the top/left corner. Nicely done.
