A golden tree from the golden state. Very nice artistic rendering. |

I find that I can walk away from many/most of my IR images right out of the camera... until I get started and begin to get to work. |

Thanks, Henry. This image came a long way from the 'original.' Surprising how many ways there are to do post. |

Judy, I had not thought about the triangle aspect of the image. I need to research this a little and keep it in mind. Thanks |

Interesting interpretation, Gary. Now I notice that only the leaves on the taller plant are curved. Next time I'm out there I'll try to remember to notice if that is the normal growth pattern. |

Very nice tonality and composition. The shadows are a plus, in my opinion, enhancing the contrast nicely. |

Chan -- I think your improvements are definitely in the right direction. You could probably make further improvements with Adjustments > Shadows & Highlights in Photoshop, and/or Silver Effects Pro in the Nik collection (assuming you haven't used these already). |

Judy: Thanks for becoming administrator. I really like the impact of your image... and I really really like your original image, which is the one I downloaded and did some experimenting with. There is so much I could do with this image other than with CLIR, and thus losing most or all of the orange color. I've been in Gp 91 only a short time, and have gained a lot of perspective on what different people do with their IR images. |
