Bruce, I really like the technical aspects of your image: color, focus, lighting. The three subjects standout well against the background. In my view however, I think the image is cropped too tightly to tell us a yoga class story. Perhaps if the image was taken more from a front angle with room on the sides, we would get more of a class effect. |

Gloria, simple but interesting story. I like the blurred vegetation in the foreground which adds emphasis to the rest of the picture and the fact that the subject is located slightly above the center of the image. |

My title got me. Normally I concentrate my subject matter around a tight crop and in fact frequently am critical of images that include unimportant picture elements. However in this case I felt the story was the entire penguin exhibit and I think there is enough interesting to hold the viewers attention. But the title is wrong. Perhaps a more appropriate title would be "Penguin Country" |
