77 Feb 22 Comment This is a very pleasing image Mary. I like your edits and the detail you have brought out in the Lilly. Your treatment of the background is very creative and works well. I also like the direction that Linda took your image in. As it is a fairly monochromatic scene, I thought it might lend itself to a B&W conversion. I did my conversion in PS ACR and then added a texture to try and give the final image that "look" we are all familiar with. Feb 22nd
77 Feb 22 Comment I too must apologize for my tardy comments Georgianne. Your image captures the beach vibe that I am so missing at this point in our winter. I'm sure this represents a great memory for you and I can see it framed and sitting somewhere in your office.
As others have said, the Man O War is too small to add impact to the image which stands fine on its own.

77 Feb 22 Comment I think your editing has taken your image to the next level. Your crop gets us focused on a very interesting scene. Sometimes editing in this style can feel "over baked" but I do think it works here. Your colors and textures draw us in to want to know more about your subject. Feb 21st
77 Feb 22 Reply It definitely looks more natural to my eye. Editing aside, this is a compelling image of a very handsome roadrunner. Feb 21st
77 Feb 22 Reply Thanks Georgianne. I might indeed have gone a little too dark while trying to achieve a dramatic look. I like your idea of using the double exposure technique on larger objects and am going to give that a try. Feb 21st
77 Feb 22 Reply Thanks Linda. The verdict is in and I will make those changes. Feb 16th
77 Feb 22 Comment This is a very nice capture Witta with excellent focus on your subject. I quite like your treatment as it makes the roadrunner really pop but I wonder if it has gone a little too dark as to appear natural - the harsh light on the roadrunner is not consistent with the background to my eye. You might be able to effectively achieve your separation while rendering the background a touch brighter. Feb 16th
77 Feb 22 Comment What a wonderful portrait. Fantastic lighting from "old desk lamps". I really like your editing and would go even further in removing the tools in the background. Everything that's almost black could go black and we will still know that we are seeing a craftsman in his element. Feb 11th
77 Feb 22 Comment This is a very nice image Denise. I really like how you have removed the distracting bits from the original and achieved a very soft painterly look in your final image. Well done! Feb 10th
77 Feb 22 Reply I too wondered how much of the double exposure I should clone out. I can see those elements as distracting as well but was concerned that if I continued to remove elements it would loose the double exposure effect - I completely get what you are addressing. Feb 10th
