Thanks for your input, Denise. I believe macro photography in itself can be considered a fine art, allowing the photographer to explore and present the details that others may not notice. It requires a different way of seeing a shot and presenting it in a creative way. I also felt the way I processed my image is artistic. I understand your position. If you like, you may remove it from this month's showing. I have no problem with that. |

Hi Carol,
Wow! I love both your original shot and your gorgeous, artistic edit. Horses are such magnificent creatures, and your image has perfectly showcased its beauty!
I really like how you toned down the contrasting colors to give your image a magical, painterly feel. (I don't know that I would have even thought to do that! This group is amazing!) The soft colors and background nicely complement the texture of the horse's mane. I want to reach out and touch his wispy hair:) I also admire how you've ever so slightly blended the horse into the background, giving it a perfect dreamlike quality. It could easily be the cover of a fairy tale book! |

Thanks for your comments, Jan. I feel your angst. While I love a lot about nature, I can't look at photos of spiders for more than a nanosecond:) Bees, I can handle! |
