Hi Maria! Wow! Another stunning image! I love everything about it. The colors, the composition and the background are so complementary! It's sharp where it needs to be. And, of course, I love the frame, which completes your beautiful work of art.
I don't believe everything has to be showing from left to right. Sometimes, I like it the way I saw it! I also like breaking the "rules" sometimes. I really love the delicate softness of the image overall. I agree with Fran...nothing needs to be changed!

Hi Rebecca! I love dahlias, too! I would have loved to see your original image. The color is beautiful, and I love the water droplets and the curves in the petals. As Fran has suggested, I'd probably try cropping it a little tighter, too.
Photoshop is wonderful, but there is such a learning curve. I am also trying to learn as much about PS as I can. I wish you the best of luck in your lesson! Have fun!!

Hi Diana, your cosmo image is lovely! The shallow dof nicely complements the more in focus petals and center of the flower. I'd really like to see your original photo so I can learn how your treatment affected your final image.
I really like the background you've chosen, and I like Fran's greener background as well.

Hi Fran, I really like how you've flipped the image, thereby improving the composition. The colors are so lovely, too! You've darkened the background nicely, making the Lily pop, as Dick mentioned.
Dappled light is always tough to shoot, but you've done a nice job with the light you had available. The light and details on the stamens are very nice! |

Hi Dick, great shot! Love the color contrast and the leaf lines and texture. I especially like how (what I believe are) the outermost sepals on the two outside fruits bend upwards, providing a nice balance. |

Hi Dick, thanks for your comments and suggestions. As I mentioned, this was my very first attempt. I have learned a bit since taking my first shots. My lens is a Nikon 105mm f/2.8. Hoping to submit some much improved images in the coming months. |
