Bob, I think your creation has more than a little resemblance to old school solarisation. To me it appears that the two people on the steps are peering into the abys. You have certainly created a different image. The black splodge by the upper figures shoulder is a bit off putting. The void area looks mysterious but some of the splodges (are they killer jellyfish?) appear to have over sharpening artifacts and there is a bit of a line around the arch formed at the top of the pic.
But very clearly different. |

Hi Kathy. I think it really helps that you had a super image to start with. The re-imagined one is equally impressive. The only thing I would change on the righthand side a trace of the table is visible and a little distracting and I think I would remove it. |

Hi Bob, good luck in your new group, I will miss your perceptive comments and advice.
Interestingly I like this picture but I cannot really come up with a definitive why. I find the muted colors really easy on the eye and the abstraction keeps me coming back for a second look. Hung on the wall I think it would make a good conversation piece. |

Hi Karen - certainly bold and bright, the lighting appears a little uneven across the leaves, given the static nature of the subject you may have intended this. There are a few artifacts around the top two leaves that I would be tempted to remove, |

Hi Judy, Many congratulations on M2 - that is an awful lot of acceptances in international exhibitions, you must have collected a load of Galaxies for that.
This pic has an impressive range of layers, textures and colors. I might be tempted to reduce the magenta slightly in the middle ground, but I can suggest nothing else. |

Hi Bob, perceptive as ever - it was a very quick selection as I was rushing off to another photo-shoot and was going to be away for several days. I think the bright color of the lead rider probably caught my eye. As you say no indication of motion, usually there are fountains of sand sprayed-up but I did not even manage that in this instance. I will have a little play with it, but not waste too much time. |

Thanks Bob, I will have a play with it but I am still not sure it is a keeper. |
