29 May 25 Reply That sounds a great idea Judy and I have only started doing it this year. May 19th
29 May 25 Reply Thanks Judy - the one shown is my PJ image when I have finished with that I will take all the suggestions on board before reprocessing from the RAW image for open mono. I like to finish with PJ before tweaking so I don't get confused between which class it can go in. May 19th
29 May 25 Reply Hi Bob, I had it with an image and I think it is the AI in the software that they do not tell us about. On my image I spent ages cloning at pixel level to get rid of it all. I have changed my workflow now though so sharpening is the last process to finish the image. May 19th
29 May 25 Comment Hi Bob, my first impression is that it has impact and is very sharp. As the other Bob says that large expanse of path/road does not seem to add anything.
On close inspection - pixel peeping it does a appear to be a tad over-sharpened with that tell tale halo around both dad and son. The darker area around their heads could be cloned out with some work or may disappear if you rework the original RAW image.

29 May 25 Comment Ron, the flower has some really pleasing elements and I like it's muted color palette. Others have pointed out other issues.
The background orange really competes for my attention with the flower, it would be a lot of work but that could be cloned out.

29 May 25 Comment Hi Tom yep agree pictorially a little more space is aesthetically pleasing. May 17th
29 May 25 Reply Hi Karen, yep I agree this is a very tight crop to get rid of all extraneous detail. My previous frame has a little more space around and I will use that for entry into mono classes and clone out those extraneous elements giving the extra space you suggests. May 17th
29 May 25 Comment A really good bark background to shoot against. Given the difficulties of the lighting I think it was good to get a presentable image. Sorry but it seems very soft with the sharpest element the greenery immediately after the flower. I would suggest manual focus in difficult lighting conditions like this would assist. May 15th
29 May 25 Comment Hi Bob, what a great capture with the early morning light and mist rising. 48 certainly has impact and the GLOW effect works well, but for me 47 is the one I would frame and put on the wall. The only thing I would change is to clone out that car that some very inconsiderate left in the middle of your photo, plus a couple of small white spots to it's left. Other than that I would be hands-off a great image. May 14th
29 May 25 Comment Hi Judy, nice idea and the slope down from the left adds a little feeling of movement. I would like to see the whole of the curve top right and bottom left. I had a play with it but did not come up with anything that I thought was better and in fact brought to more prominence a number of artefacts that are almost unnoticeable in your image. May 14th
29 May 25 Reply Thanks Bob that is very kind. It also involves getting myself and equipment covered in shale and boy that stuff really stings. Then a major cleanup of myself and the equipment afterwards. May 14th
29 May 25 Reply Thanks Bob your interpretation really takes me back to film days and push processing TriEx's 400iso to get action shots, with the gritty grain. May 14th
29 May 25 Reply Thanks Elaine May 14th
29 May 25 Comment I really like your composition and the large proportion of sky. Using the grass as a framing device works well and I really do not mind it overlapping the windmill. I think there is more detail in the sky you can bring out. I may have over done this to illustrate. May 14th
