Hi Bob, Another great tweaked image. I would love to see a paintshop replicate this. The swirling lines and colour palette make it very pleasing on the eye. |

Thanks Gunter, and yes I have tried both suggestions and agree it does improve the image. |

Hi Gunter,
Well the original image looks very tranquil. With your amendments there is a lot more drama. The green-grey colour palette perhaps indicates the airsick travellers view. It looks like there is a lot of noise in the picture and I think this really adds to the overall dramatic feel of the picture in a good way. |

The rope makes an effective lead line as does the repetition of the barrels. Some lovely texture in the barrels and the limited colour palette is very pleasing. The only slight distraction is the light edge to the barrel bottom right - very inconvenient of them to put that barrel there. |

Hi Ron - an interesting subject I find the ethereal light streaks in the left quadrant distracting. You have chosen an interesting viewpoint but personally I find rather too much is out of focus. Did you use a tripod? A slower shutter speed and smaller aperture might have worked better. |

Hi Karen, nice capture and it is certainly giving you the eye and a great expression. Great background to make the subject stand out. With the nice directional lighting I think this is a winner. |

Hi Bob, It is indeed a Hoverfly - but I could not narrow it down more than that, my research told me there are 280 varieties in the UK and most references only show about 50. |
