Lovely colours although has others have pointed out DOF and other focus issues. Well worth returning to again and checking out the image in camera as you progress. |

Hi Bob,
A really super rendition. I find Karen's point - "the green line the only distration" being a little too firm and definite.
The haloing does not detract for me as it adds to the ethereal impression - a lovely image. |

Hi Karen, another really impactful nature image. I think you have worked the contrasty lighting well keeping the animal well expososed. I am not sosure how steady my camera would have been when he turned that beady eye on me. Really like this image. |

Hi, Welcome to the group.
Roses always make such an appealing subject and I think the crops suggested really concentrate the attention on the most important part of your picture. You have achieved a lovely delicacy in the colouring. |

Judy, I really like your image as is. You mention clutter but a documentary image is meant to reflect what is actually there. Your image invites lingering inspection to reveal all those fascinating elements and I think your processing has presented an artistic aspect as well. |

Thanks Bob, I hadn't spotted the halo effect. I was going to use it as a chapter page in a book - "Marshalls" but in the end did not use it and grouped the marshalls with other people shots. So really take your point about the image needing context if it is to stand alone. |

Hi Karen,
That is a nice version you have produced.
It has been a real experience - this is the oldest form of motor sport in the world. The big thing for me was the number of mature people taking part in their 50s, 60s and 70s. |
