Thank you Stephen. Interestingly, the attactive traditional fabrics and rugs belie the austere surroundings of the small settlement of tents inhabited by this Berber tribe. |

Thank you. I was honored that these humble folk allowed me to photograph their village, it was quite a moment. |

but...actually....I just noticed (shame on me!) that there is a person's head creeping into the lower right corner. AI remove, here I come. So much for SOC. |

Thank you. Incredible what can be done with low light using a modern digital camera. |

Without your explanation, I thought they were leaves blowing in the wind, but now that I know what it is I am AMAZED! I never even heard of this! So, go ahead and look through all the photos that you took, I am willing to bet that you can find some that tell this story without the caption. |

Agree that black and white would give this image a more old time feel and also that color isn't a major element in the original. Also wonder if, when you were there, it was possible to move a bit so the big black tree did not dominate the upper left hand of the frame. |

I won't repeat exactly what others have said. I can see that adding saturation to the sky can help share your emotion and experience with us, and reflects your perception at the time; however, the greenery is too green, and that's what makes the image look overprocessed IMHO. Maybe do the foreground differrently and leave the sky as you did? |

Yeah Ding Darling is an amazing place. I agree with you about the whites but now you live right there so next time you can go back and stop down a little more for birds with light feathers. This is a pleasing, sharp action shot. I daresay that now that you've nailed this, you gotta move on to finding one with a fish it its grasp. |

Each person is in conversation (figurative) with their own bit of archway (right side), rather than with each other so I enjoy the composition, it has a bit of a nice story. Definitely agreee that Lightroom gives you more freedom to edit than Darkroom! |

Still lifes are scary! Why? Because everything is under your control and so every element is intentional. In this image I enjoy the peaceful color palette, the interesting shapes, the side-lighting that adds depth, and the sharpness. I do find a sense of tension due to the fact that the pan goes off the edge, compared to the space around the other items. If this is intentional, great! If not, maybe experiment with including the whole the pan in the image. Great work. |
