This is nice. I went on a whale watch tour out of Boston and just got lots of photos of tails, nothing as nice as this. |

actually the boats are intended to look like they are on the water. I suppose I need to do some work to emphasize the horizon line. Thanks. |

He's fun because there is a lot to look at. His hat logo, the cross, hair, smile, nose ring.....
And it's very nice and sharp. In general, I don't worry about noise in Sports or Street Photography. As you did, fast shutter speed is crucial even if you need high ISO. |

Your isolation of the bench in post-processing is well-done! |

I get what you are trying to do here but it comes perilously close to taking (intentional use of that word) a photo of someone else's art. As a stand alone work, I would find it more acceptable as part of a street scene including people. I am sure it will be interesting as part of your series. |

Oh sorry.
ICM : intentional camera motion

Well, good question! The problem with your question is the premise. You think I know what I was trying to create when I began! In fact, the technique for ICM and ME photogaphy is a massive quantity of trial and error with almost everything winding up in the recycle bin. Among the few keepers, sometimes it looks great SOOC (straight out of the camera), sometimes it needs a basic lightroom editing, and sometimes I take it to PS and go nuts.
WARNING: The following contains too much information. Feel free to ignore.
My camera makes JPG images out of the multiple exposures, but I can choose to save the raw source images. The JPGs are great for judging the composition and lighting but if I want to print or work on the image significantly, I need to go back to the source raw images and blend them as layers in PS. If I choose the same blend mode (lighten, darken, etc), they look the same as the JPG but with better resolution and more depth for editing. I can also change the blend mode or remove/add/edit individual source images at that point.
Some camera brands will make a raw ME image. I know FUJI does this. |
