In camera pros:
1. I can see the images as I am superimposing them (with some cameras)
2. I can see the final result. This is hugely helpful as with this type of technique 99% of images or more are throw-aways. If I get a promising image, I will do more at that scene.
3. I get satisfaction by pretending to do it all at once like a film photographer but getting the result right away.
In camera cons: My camera only saves jpg ME images. But if save the RAW source images I can do more later.
PS pros:
1. If printing the image I will recombine the source image into a new RAW image for better quality and processing.
2. More blend modes from which to choose. Ability to change alignment, or to mask out certain areas where I prefer to see one of the images more clearly than the other.

This is a crazy beautiful place! I want to know more about it and go there, like, now. The photo is well-composed and exposed. I suggest darkening the lower left corner, its brightness draws the eye away from the scene, when what you really want is for the viewer to follow the river up to the falls. Great work. |

This could be mistaken for an old family photo from your archives....but then I saw the sweatshirts...modern. I love the way you processed it, love the angle, and the the relationship demonstrated between the subjects. |

Agree B and W is best. You were intentional about making sure the lights on the ceiling were not overlapping his head, and you got a low angle which is great technique and makes it an environmental portrait rather than a quick grab shot. Really nice.

Looks sort of IR or UV. I like the processing. Would be tricky to print, no? |

Thank you. I have been inspired by a presentation I saw by Sephanie Johnson (see: www.stephjohnphoto.com). I plan to do more of this type of work this summer. It's great fun. |
