Some comments on the above:
1. It's a beautiful Eastern Bluebird.
2. The framing without distractions around the bird is excellent. I see the artifacts from the clone stamp tool, but I think with more time and attention and a softer brush it can be made to blend in with the background.
3. Agree that a tighter crop may be better but with 200mm lens I suspect that it is already cropped quite a bit and going further might yield pixelation.
Great capture. |

Happy birthday to you and Madison. What an excellent moment, and an excellent portrait. As they say, the best camera is the one you have with you. |

That is so exactly true. The hours of planning, the time constructing homemade solar filters, the testing and practicing before hand. But even more, when I was on the way there and looking at the weather I thought, at first nervously, "what if it's overcast?" And my answer was "it will still be a worthwhile adventure." |

A nice image of Totality, helping you to remember what may be a once in a lifetime experience. Don't fret about not making a composite. I spent literally a month reading and practicing for these 209 seconds. |

It was an incredible day. I went with some friends to a northernmost point in New Hampshire called Pittsburg. We stood at the edge of a frozen lake all day, it was lovely. I was running 3 cameras on 3 tripods and was very pleased with my results. You can view the whole story here: http://www.williamkornphotography.com
