I think it was 7 exposures. It's fun to try. Just do it with some flowers in a vase, you won't have to leave your kitchen! |

Some tips on how to do this.
Not all cameras can do in-camera multiple exposure. Check the manual. For example, my Nikon D750 cannot do this, my D850 can.
Mirrorless cameras and some DSLR's may have the advantage of being able to see each exposure on the screen as a ghost image and align (or misalign) the next one with it. Mine does not.
There is an iphone app that does multiple exposures, called AvgCamPro.

I must be grumpy this morning so apologies in advance. I LOVE the colors and the textures in this scene, there is so much to see and enjoy; however, it is too "crunchy," meaning over-processed. I don't know if it's HDR or too much sharpening and clarity but I would suggest starting from the original and backing off on all those Lightroom sliders just a bit. (I do understand that some of this appearance may be due to JPEG compression required by this forum.)

Great action shot! Agree with Steve exactly. Next time you have the opportunity to do this with Owen, it would be good to frame the shot so you can have some empty space ahead of him, and less sky. This one is a keeper. |

Looking at the original and the final image, you did a great job postprocessing to bring out the detail in the owl and minimize the impact of a busy background. |

I am going to be a little contrarian here. I love the light and the idea and the scene. I would remove the salt shaker. I would also consider using a coffee pot, if you have one, that is less ordinary, maybe ceramic or steel. |

We can all strive to make a family portrait that approaches this. |
