In response to requests to burn rather than crop out the bright part, here is a new version. I learned a subtle way of doing dodging and burning using the history brush tool that was helpful and, I hope subtle. |

This image makes me want to be there, so that is success. I can see the bear's footprints, so you have obviously been patient and captured the right moment. There are a million ways to crop this, none of them wrong. I like this. |

Great shot! Here is a caption suggestion. "I want my Maypo." Would you consider cropping in on the faces only, showing the (I think) pleading expression on the younger animal? |

Thanks Steve. Agree with the crop. Maybe the color version adds some more interesting stuff to look at. I thought at first it was so golden brown overall that the color version added little over the black and white. In this version I dodged and burned to bring out the color in the trees and the leaves. I also started with a vastly underexposed image so the sky wouldn't be blown out. |
