Thanks. All over cape cod seashores there are these trees and shrubs that seem shaped by the wind. Driving out route 6 it is the appearance of these that signals the beginning of a week of summer vacation for me. For a long time I have been trying to capture the feeling of being in such a location and this photo did it for me. |

Thank you for your comment. I think the sharpness is at least partially attributable to my excellent new 500mm lens and I used a monopod to steady it. |

Thank you for your comment. I haven't had a successful silhouette image before. Chance favors the prepared mind. |

Yeah I kept thinking I could see a nest out there. |

Thanks, that is a good suggestion. I wouldnt crop off the top but can easily get rid of the dark area.
Once I am at it, how about I throw a little bird silhouette on the tree stump at the right? |

Thank you. I was indeed attracted to the grouping of three and the silhouettes. There wasn't a lot of choice in the composition due to the surrounding area being fairly developed but it worked out. |

Ditto to what Steve said, great effect with the water. Nothing to add, just want to say it's a great photo. |

You had your wits about you when you grabbed your camera and made this image. It's not easy to respond to a surprise visit by screaming fast things and get a sharp, well-exposed shot. Well done! Well-done to the pilots too, egads. |

Very interesting. Love the red detail. Great idea to shoot low. I am impressed by the HDR that you did while keeping it realistic, you expanded the dynamic range without making it look funky (overprocessed). Great image. I'm like, when can I go to that museum? |

So sharp and detailed, it's fun to look at and technically beautiful. I can see why you used black and white, it's all about the textures. |
