99 Mar 24 Comment I really like your choice of the monochrome you used. Just plain black and white would not given it the impact that you have here. I would like to see if there was some vantage point or POV that you could have used to give us a little bit of a view of his quite peaceful looking face. Mar 21st
99 Mar 24 Comment I agree with Gerard that the branch is essential but we could give some up to give more prominence to the bird and I like his crop. I might even be fun to put in a tiny catch light in his eye, Mar 21st
99 Mar 24 Comment Lovely portrait. I usually like the subject looking the direction of your original but for some reason the way you have turned him works for me this time. Mar 21st
99 Mar 24 Comment Two of my favorite winter things cones and snow. I can recognize the cones but to me the exposure of the snow is such that I can't see and enjoy mt favorite part which is the texture in the flakes. I must be missing something. Mar 21st
99 Mar 24 Comment The basic image you have here is quite good. The fact you were able to capture the two deer as they were without them taking off was quite good. The conversion you did to monochrome was good, but I decided to try something else. I fist of all used the new Remove Tool in PS to take out the tree and its branches on the left and the bird on the right, just because I am fascinated as to to how well and how easy they are to use. I then used one of the Silver Efex Pro filters and then applied an elliptical vignette to produce a somewhat different image. Mar 21st
