Thanks for your comments Michael. Regarding the path, unfortunately, there would have been too many distracting branches in the frame if I had moved more to the right. I agree with your comment about the branch at the top. |

Thanks for you comments Larry. I do have a few other photos that are more saturated. |

Hi Adi. I like how you framed the Capital with the trees as it draws my view to the building. It's a different perspective which works. As previously mentioned by the others, more space at the bottom of the frame will help the people feel like they are moving into the image.

Hi Arne. I love the architecture of old historic buildings, but I also like the artistic and futuristic designs of newer constructions. From what I read on the internet, this building is a "smart building" which is definitely an inevitable shift towards the future. Thanks for sharing. For me, the blue palette works nicely across the sky, the building, and the water. Like Michael, I find myself wondering why the window reflections appear brighter than the sky itself. The composition and editing are effective making the building stand out. |

Hi Michael. I never tire of this scene. I just visited Cades Cove and the atmosphere changes with each trip. This photo captures the beauty of the Cove perfectly. The lighting, fog, and colors along with the people biking make it a must-see location. I do agree with Larry's suggestion. Beautiful image. |

Hi Larry. When I was out exploring for fall foliage this year, I found myself drawn to the white leafless trees with a touch of color instead of a tree with full colorful leaves. I like how the barren trees stand out in the image. I also like the simple color palette and the softness of the clouds. The lighting of the sky and foreground work well together. For me, the trees are a bit crunchy, and I wonder if a more consistent softness or artistic expression maintained throughout the entire image would enhance the image more. |

Hi Maria. Welcome to the group and I look forward to seeing your photos. For me, finding a clean background can sometimes be a challenge, but looking for the best angle with minimal distractions is worth it before hitting the shutter. Birds, unfortunately, don't always wait for us to compose our shots, which can result in a cluttered background that takes away from the subject. While a busy background may sometimes contribute to the story, for me it pulls my attention away from what really matters. In this photo, the bird's position and feeding gesture add interest but I feel there are too many competing elements. Bruce's suggestions are good. |

Hi Adrian. This photo captures the harsh realities of survival. Yes, the lighting and shadows are a bit harsh but sometimes raw imagery is needed to convey life as it is. Your re-edited version works well. |

Hi Bruce. What a refreshing way to showcase an eagle. The composition, eagle's pose, and the colors work very well together. Beautiful image. |

Hi Isaac. The cropped version creates a nice triangular portrait pose. The image is sharp, with soft lighting, and the colors of the sea lions and water complement each other. While I appreciated the close up version, I find the original gives me a stronger sense of place, which I like a lot. Very nice images. |
