Thank you Ian. I do love how the sky changes so quickly at the coast because it offers so many opportunities for a different look to an image. |

Thanks Diane. I appreciate your editing feedback. I wish I had the original image to see my edits but I may try to soften the water as you suggested. I like your version of the B/W however for me the color and light in the sky along with the unusual cloud formations is what I like about this image. |

Thanks Larry. The lighthouse is always the subject when I visit this area however the sky on that morning was the most important part of the image for me. I agree a flattened/silky foreground water would have added to the image. |

I like the harmony and balance within the image. Although I see the ghosting my eye goes right to Lincoln. The ghosted people add energy to an already powerful statue. Nicely done. |

What a fun way to spend the day. The planning and post processing was well thought out. The composition clearly shows the ships grandness. The warm lights on the ship against the sky makes me think what it was actually like on the open seas. I agree with the others about the white light in the lower right corner. I heard the ship is haunted...did you run into any spirits? Very nice. |

Very nice image Diane. The image conveys a quiet peacefulness to me. The image is sharp. As the others have mentioned the removal of the barn would keep the scene pure from human involvement. The object selection tool and content aware fill works great as another option to cloning. This image feels best in a pano mode to me. |

Sometimes just merely capturing a scene without a plan works just as well and your award is a nice mark of recognition. The image has a nice contrast of blacks, whites and grays. There's good shape and/or form with the structure and the trees. Congrats on your award! |

Congratulations on your work for this image. An image like this has to be grand and 18 feet definitely is that. I like how the weather variation makes the sky look different. The colors are vibrant and the grass in the front compliments the tree reflection in the water. It will definitely be an eye catcher on the wall. |

Marie, good for you to live so close to a rookery. I used to live the same distance from a rookery and miss my frequent trips during mating season. I do like Isaac's crop to allow more room for the bird to move and adding brightness and detail to the herons. As much as I like the tree top image of the herons, when I looked at the original with more tree and gray sky, I immediately envisioned a vertical high key artistic image.
I love seeing both images and the different perspectives that can be created. Very nice. |

Very nice walrus portrait. The detail is well presented especially the whiskers and tusks. The eyes are sharp and bright and the pink skin has a nice tone. He clearly looks like a gentle giant. |

Maria, nice photograph. I was recently at the beach trying to photograph sea birds as they dived into the water and I agree with Bruce it's not an easy task to capture their beak hitting the water. I also like the changes made by Isaac as it creates more contrast between the light and dark areas and makes the blues pop. |

Bruce, this is beautiful field of tulips. Like Isaac, I haven't seen this may tulips together in a field since I was in Holland. The colors are vibrant, the image is sharp with nice leading lines to the sky. Nice landscape photo. |

I think you met your objective with the timing of the waves and the composition. As mentioned by Isaac and Bruce, the whites are overexposed. I don't know if birds feel elation when they fly but seeing this bird in flight over the cool blue water gives me a feeling of wonderment. Nicely done. |

Mary, what a fun place for a photo walk. For me the garden and shed/house are the subject and the color version draws my attention to it more than the B/W image. Also possibly cropping in closer to the garden's edge and popping the color a bit might add more emphasis on the garden and the shed/house. Just a thought... |
