Thanks for your feedback Diane and please don't worry about your level of photography when critiquing. It doesn't matter if you're just starting out or if you're more experienced there are so many aspects of a photo to comment on. All critique is beneficial for the photographer and the reviewer.
In answer to your questions, I used PS for stacking the night sky as the program does a pretty good job. I also use Helicon Focus which is a focus stacking software. The intervalometer is a remote device that plugs in your camera and it has many functions. It locks the shutter for long exposures, it also has features for self-timing, interval timing, exposure timing and the number of shots to be taken. I use the Canon intervalometer. |

When I first looked at the image I wasn't sure what the 2 white lines were at the top and then I realized it was snow. At first I thought I would remove them but looking at the image closer they help give this a sense of place. The colors were brought out nicely in post and the clouds add additional interest. I do prefer the original crop. |

The photo definitely gives me a sense of place and agree with the other about the color being too saturated. Also, at f/18 you should have had a greater DOF however I agree with the others about the slow shutter and the hyperfocal point. The R6 can handle elevated ISOs so don't be afraid to kick it up in order to get a faster shutter speed. Auto ISO can be a helpful tool in situations when you're rushed, the light is changing fast or your subject is moving fast. At least you know your shutter speed is set to get a sharp image and your aperture is set for your desired DOF. As Michael mentioned, Topaz Sharpen AI is a good tool to help when a focus is too soft. Nice job.

Arne, you took a nice image and made it into a powerful engaging image. Impressive post work. The soft kiss of light on the castle, muted greens, wispy clouds with a touch of white make this image pop. I agree with the others about cropping from the left. Well done! |

Thanks Larry. I wanted a sparse look for the stars which is why I didn't use all my images. The ISO for the stars was 250. And the ISO for the car trail was 400. I remember having my Luxli viola with me but don't remember if I had it on to dimly light up the foreground. |

I love natural rock formations as each viewer sees something different. Technically the photo is sharp and perspective works. For me, my eye moves everywhere but doesn't land anywhere in particular. Possibly the curved line in the center should be more pronounced and as Arne mentioned dodge and burn. Great photo and hope you had fun at PSA festival! |

Great job capturing the sky and rain bands before it turned to complete rain. The peeking of the sun through the dark clouds and the water reflection adds a nice touch and feeling to the image. My eye moves nicely through the photo and agree about the water reflections being a touch darker. |

It amazes me every time I see an iPhone image. The quality keeps getting better and better. Very nice capture of this terminator. The way the bug is posing along with the vivid colors make this image work well. Nice post work too! |

As I know so little about ducks I was wondering how you knew it was a male. I looked it up and learned something new so thanks for sharing Adrian! The image is sharp allowing the viewer to see the beautiful color and detail in the feathers. The water color and movement adds to the beauty of the duck. My only suggestion would be to darken the water with a radial gradient. Very nice. |

I'm a big fan of waterfalls and it was good to see you hiked down the steps as this vantage point works well. All the elements within the frame allow my eye to move easily through the image. You did a great job not getting blown out highlights and glare. Even with a polarizer it's hard to shoot water on a sunny day. Very nice job. |

Beautiful image Maria. The kiss of light and touch of blue makes this duck a real beauty. The bokeh allows no distractions and keeps your eye on the subject. The image is sharp but I would add a touch of light to the eye to brighten it a bit more similar to Bruce's edit. |

Thanks for your feedback Isaac. I have a photo of the gator jumping to catch the mice snack but unfortunately I either added some camera shake or didn't have enough shutter speed because it came out blurred. |
