I like how you brought out the color in the buildings along with the removal of the wires. The warming filter adds a nice touch too. I wonder why the remaining poles and wires in the upper left corner were not removed. For me, the framing of the buildings feels a bit tight. I like the original image with a little more sky and gravel as it gives the buildings a sense of place. |

As much as I love my big girl camera, the iPhones take some great photos. Nice composition. The stormy clouds add interest to the rainbow. My only suggestion is to tone down the brightness of the two homes located at each end of the rainbow. Great capture. |

Thanks Michael. I will look at the image again and take into consideration the comments about sharpness mentioned by you and Larry. Originally I thought about bringing out shadows in the bridge but decided not to. I will go back and see if I can bring up more detail. Also, I will add more breathing room for the fence. |

Thanks Larry. I also agree with you about the tight crop and my original image has more space on the right. |

The super simple composition is a powerful part of this image. The detail of the foreground pulls you in and it's easy to imagine how hot and dry the area gets. I like the crop and your choice to use B/W. Very nice image. |

I like the angle of the bridge in the thumbnail image as it shows a longer extension of the bridge and the live oak trees at the end of the bridge. Cloning out the building at the end of the bridge would make the scene cleaner but the job would be tedious.
Regarding the 1st image, the colors and reflections make the image pop. The bridge reflection is clear and colorful. The gazebo is a nice touch but I would think your camera would need to sit directly on the wood to capture the top of the gazebo or like you mentioned be in the middle of the water. Overall I keep going back to the thumbnail image mainly because of the angle and the trees. Very nice images. |

Adrian, I was commenting on the image at the top not the adjusted version. Adjusted is much better! |

My initial thought was to darken the background and Maria did it well. Good composition and sharpness. Very nice image. |

Adrian, such a majestic waterfall and good job overall keeping the camera steady! Nicely composed image but for me it's feels over processed. The original provides a much more realistic presentation but needs a few PP enhancements to make it pop.
Also, the crop to remove some of the heavy dark clouds works. To my eye, the horizon appears to be off just a bit. |

The compositional crop of the shelter and the bird works well. My only comment is the noticeable light streaks in the background as mentioned above. Also, my preference would be to add a touch of warmth the image. Great image Marie. |

Very cool image. The underwater scene with the fish, sun rays, and the cavern tell an impressive underwater story. I wonder if a touch of contrast would make the fish pop even more. Nicely done! |

Being a ground level with the bird was a good approach. Sharpness is spot on and the crab is an extra. I also like to show a bit of the environment but I'm learning a tighter crop is more powerful with portrait shots. Beautiful image. |

Subject matter in the Palouse Hills is endless. As much as I prefer close-ups of the rolling hills, the inclusion of the sky with the light rays tells a different story. I like that you captured the sun rays as it adds an extra layer of interest to an already beautiful area. Great image. |
